Josh Sitton Makes Pro Bowl

In the wake of the NFC Championship game, Josh Sitton’s ex teammate T.J. Lang had a foot injury and will not be able to play in Orlando, FL for the Pro Bowl this year. Sitton received the call today to replace Lang in the Pro Bowl making this his third consecutive Pro Bowl, his fourth overrall.

Sitton joins rookie Jordan Howard to represent the Bears. It seems fitting that at least one of Howard’s offensive lineman make the Pro Bowl considering Howard ran for 1,313 yards this year, behind only fellow rookie running back, Ezekial Elliot. Pro Football Focus graded Josh Sitton as the 3rd best pass-blocker in the NFL in 2016.

Another lineman from the Bears with consideration for the Pro Bowl would be Cody Whitehair, who was Pro Football Focus’s 6th best run-blocker in the league.

Look for the strength of the Bears to be up front in 2017 with Josh Sitton, Cody Whitehair, and Kyle Long on the interior and Jordan Howard in the backfield.
